We've been receiving regular treatment at the Cardiovascular Surgery Department of Medikal Park Florya Hospital for six months. Our treatment began with edema in the right leg, the cause of which was initially unknown, along with a venous ulcer and a large, deep, open wound. We discovered the edema was caused by lymphedema, the cause of which was previously undiagnosed. We started lymphedema physical therapy. After the swelling in our leg went down, we had surgery for the venous ulcer. The surgery was successful, and just two days ago, the wound closed completely. I want to thank Associate Professor Dr. Gökalp Altun for performing our venous ulcer treatment and surgery, and physical therapist Beyza Yılmaz for her dedication, persistence, and hard work throughout our six-month-plus wound treatment process and lymphedema care.
